Modern hair transplant procedures are designed to minimise pain and physical stress. Local anaesthesia is administered to both the donor and recipient areas. This helps block pain sensations and keeps you comfortable throughout the session. You’ll feel only slight pressure and movement during the extraction and implantation of hair grafts.
Post-procedure discomfort is usually mild and limited to the donor area. You may experience mild soreness or tightness for a few days after your surgery. These sensations are temporary and are manageable with prescribed medication.
The DHI™ technique further improves comfort by removing the need for incisions and stitches. This reduces trauma to the scalp. When the procedure is performed at a certified DHI™ hair transplant clinic, pain management protocols and post-care guidance are strictly followed to make the experience pain-free for most patients.
